all the forests in portal2 are a fantastical wonder if i can be excused for, perhaps, getting just a bit carried away. anyway, this is my favorite non-foil forest in all of MTG. kudos mister hoover! you really don't see that much blue sky with a forest(although portal1 has what looks like an african safari look -thingey going on). just makes me feel lighthearted and joyous when i look at it. why i play magic other than the game mechanics that make it a truly unique game. oh, and just to put my vote in, the new card design is awful. maybe they were thinking they would make it look like all the other CCG's out there, but a huge mistake for whatever reason. the decline and fall of the MTG empire. and not just because it's an old game. no.1 on the list is the redesign of the cards which literally sucks all happiness from the spirit. there, i've said it and it pains me to do it being an old-timer that loves the game truly. to recap, my favorite forest out there. need more like these, but it looks like those days are gone forever..........

out of this block of four 'tempest' 'forest's i've always enjoyed this one the most. the 'tempest' lands all seem to reflect its namesake with stormy skys from some aether dimension perhaps. anyway, this 'forest' is the only one in the block with its really cool sky. enjoy!

this was the 'ice age' forest chosen to be made by WOTC to be made into a foil a few years ago. and since this bit of art takes the most risk, rightly so. however, while i like the pink sky, i think the artist went a bit overboard by putting a narrow ribbon of pink in what i can only assume is a reflection of the heavens on a creek or stream winding its way through the wintry forest. without that bit of overkill i think this artist could rightly have been proud of having pulled off one of the hardest colors(purple comes to mind also) in a bit such as this without a glitch. as is, slightly marred although still admired by moi................
