I'm not sure why Daniel dubbed this card as "situational," unless you're playing against a Millstone deck or one that doesn't depend on damage-dealing. 7 life for 2 mana is a fairly good gig in most "situations."

This card is awesome when combined with Isochron Scepter. Gaining 7 life at the end of your opponents turn, each turn is usually game winning. even by itself its very, very powerful. And it is not a "situational" card, cards like remove soul are...

Seven life is seven life no matter how you look at it. Personally my favorite method of gaining life is a token based strategy. Use thallids and Rhys the Redeemed to gain a tramendous ammount of creatures and then play "Folk Medicine" for two colorless mana and one green mana. Folk medicine gives you 1 life for each creature you control. Combine Rhys with thallids and cards like "Saproling Symbiosis" and your life total will be numbering in the hundreds.

It is a good card, but it shouldn't get 5 stars, There are a lot better cards to use that are less situational.
