Solid card in my djinn/vampire deck and blows clones out of the water. And it lso works with my Royal Assasins.

I love this card, it is the pride and joy of my large collection of Vesuvan Doppelgangers. The printing process used for the Edgar set really gives this card a lustrous look, with colour and depth that allow it to stand out on the page.
As for how rare this card is, I know that I have never seen another, but would love to.
My one shows a little wear on the edges, which indicates that it has seen some play, but I love it all the same, and it makes the ideal centrepiece for my collection of magic cards.

Prized by collectors and immortalized in hundreds of decks, the Vesuvan Doppelganger is one of the most legendary M:TG cards ever made. It is a powerful creature, as it can assume the form of any creature in play as it enters play, and it can change each upkeep. Given that the Doppelganger costs only 5 mana, it seems like a great bargain. However, the Doppelganger is only truly useful if there is another creature in play, more so if there are creatures in plentitude. Also, it does no good to copy a small creature; so it is virtually useless by itself in a deck, except possibly in a sideboard. Thus, it can be said that the Vesuvan Doppelganger is a mixed blessing: they can work, when used properly; otherwise, they are just a rather expensive bookmark.

Vesuvan Doppleganger would be much better if it didn't come with about three pages worth of errata. They are great cards and are usually well protected.
