This card is broken if you use w/ High Tide, Snap, Frantic Search, Cloud of Faeries, etc. I have lvled him to 7 turn 3 a few times, and a ton by turn 4; at which point I generally tend to win.

Basically. Turn 1: Island. Brainstorm/Ponder or nothing to save a Spell Peirce or Force Spike. Turn 2: Island. Lighthouse Chronologist. Turn 3(assuming they don't remove or destroy him): Island. Tap 1 Island to play High Tide. Tap last 2 for UUUU, use UUU to play Frantic Search ~ Untap up to 3 lands. Tap the 3 islands again for 6(U's) and the one remaining for 7(U's) and level him to max. Keep him protected with Force of Will, Daze, or Thwart and you will be taking 2 turns for every 1 they take(which off-sets the alternate cost of Thwart and daze*). It's just sick.... Even more sick in Multiplayer! I guess Gush could work in the deck also, but I don't recommend it unless you're running Force of Will and NEED to stop something.

This card is 5 stars simply for how it works in multiplayer , particularly generals. If your the general with this deck, your team wins.

Not only is it crazy in multiplayer, but honestly, imagine having two or more of these on the battlefield, fully leveled? I know it's far flung, but this card is just crazy beyond limits if you get to keep it on the battlefield without anyone killing it.

I can't wait to test this at school where we have 7-8 player free-for-alls nearly every day. Even in one versus one, this card allows you to abuse so many high cost effects. With a possible turn 4 max level, the game will turn in your favor very, very quickly, especially while running it alongside cards such as Sphinx of Magosi, Keening Stone, and Hedron Crab. I don't even begin to understand why Vengevine and Gideon Jura are so hyped compared to this.

this is simply one of the best turn generators that i know of. the best part of it is the fact that it completely negates your opponents take an extra turn stuff as well because of how it always takes a turn after any turn your not playing. it' was annoying playing against someone with my sharding sphinx/ time sieve combo while they had this leveled up all the way. I still won but all it really did was make it seem like no one took an extra turn at all. that being said it has to last long enough to be fully leveled up and 9 mana for an extra turn is very, very bad in early game against aggressive deck types and control should have ways to deal with this anyways. don't get me wrong though, if you can protect him then he is very good at what he does but hes best brought out on turn 5 in a mono-blue deck that way you can level him up once and protect him with a counter-spell and assuming you have another island in hand next turn you can level him up all the way if you want or you can just save 2 mana and get it next turn. turn 4 isnt so bad either but im telling you he is such a big target its best to be patient and play it safe.
