My favorite combo for this card is Sliver Overlord as the EDH/Commander with Unnatural Selection. Thats 1 colorless mana to steal an opponents creature.

To the reviewer above, it has to be an activated ability not a triggered ability. Basically, it has to have a (:)Colon in it to be an activated ability, and it only affects your creatures' in play. I'm also Guessing you're refering to Numot, the Devastator

This card is totally broken w/ the right combinations. the Guildmages from the Ravnica cycle; especially Izzet Guildmage(Unlimited copy spell combo*), but I try to stay away from johnny combo builds. the Monger creatures from Mercadian Masques. Plaguebearer and Deepfire Elemental which is how I use it in my Grixis colored control deck, and many others. Best thing about this card is that, unlike Heartstone, it only affects your creatures.
