EDH all the way!!! Drop him by turn 2 or 3 and have it flip immediately, also run with Serra Ascendant to have a 1CMC 6/6 Flying Lifelink turn 1. It's completely broken in EDH format!

This card is really good alone, but if you add pariah enchanting one of your own creatures, your life points AND your creatures are invincible.

Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant is an amazing card to have. Place that card in a deck based on life and your set. Once you get past 30 life, you can flip the card and all damage is prevented. Not many cards can counter this.
