A Matter of Control
@Bob Evans: I''m not sure if this card is as "fun in the right deck" as it is amazing! This card is "great" in a blue/white control deck that utilizes Haunted Plate Mail & Supreme Verdict (& Balance in Vintage)The "1" activation cost leaves plenty of mana available for defense!

I love this card. I board wipe with supreme verdict or day of judgement, chimeric mass survives, activate it's ability, and then I have an open opponent ready to take damage. And the longer I wait to play it, the stronger it can be. And paying X is also nice cause I can make it just strong enough to hold off my opponent's creature and save the extra mana for something else, making it a flexible card for me.

This card doesn't seem all that great at first, but here we go. X is technically a 0 cost, meaning Trinket Mage can pull him. Proliferate adds to his counter count if you play him early. He is a trigger ability, which means you could flash him in at instant speed as a blocker. Not a great card, but definitely fun in the right deck.
