Platinum Emperion

Like platinum angel; both artifacts and creatures are really easy to get rid of, not to mention an artifact creature. Yet this is better than platinum angel since you can't lose life for the time being. So you don't have to worry about your life total going into negatives before someone cast a 1 mana unsummon on it.

For the cost of 8 you get an 8/8 artifact creature with an insane ability. In Scars alone you have ways of cheating this out early, not even knocking at the doors of Extended or Standard.

I don't understand why people always talk about ways to get rid of the card in their review... Ummm... There's a way to get rid of EVERY card in Magic. If there wasn't then everyone would have the exact same deck!

I pulled this guy out of a booster pack. The reason I'm rating it 4 stars is because you could just use the card: "Shatter" on it and boom, Platinum Emperion, dead.

This card is awesome but, in standard it's not that great. Too many artifact kill spells plus it doesn't save you from mill or infect (which is essential 1/4 of the Scars block). Platinum angel still reigns supreme in my books.
