I hear he likes Stonehorn Dignitary from M12.
p.s. @beyondallreason: That doesn't work the way you want it to. Venser, Shaper Savant only bounces spells that are on the stack.

this + Reality Acid = W/U land control + anything other permanent that may bother you since it's a sacrifice effect~! Other than that silly combo, I really like using Venser in 2-headed giant matches for his -1 ability and back up my partner's creatures with Counterspells. Not too often can I actually do his -8 ability since everyone in my playgroup knows my deck by now and gang-up on me...

I love it. It works wonders in a couple of decks I already have, and it gave me a couple of great new deck ideas. It's just so good. I see a problem though. Under "Why you should use this card", it says that the ultimate ability allows you to bounce an opponent's permanent every time you play a spell, but the permanent doesn't just get bounced, it getss exiled. That is infinitely better.

Lets see here.... Blue White control.... Wall of Omens, card draw bounce? Yes. Elspeth Tirel let her -5 go off, but use Venser's 1st ability, on himself. Bye bye board. Hello control. Frost Titan tap bounce? (Might I add, ANY permanant) And if they just can't handle that, let his -8 fire off and cast your Everflowing Chalice for 0. I think he's underrated and will find his deck in the near future. Thank god I ordered my 4 already. Oh and the other underrated Wrath-of-god-on-a-stick-walker, Elspeth Tirel. Wait until the next few sets and then we see Venser bouncing everything to death.

I run one of him in Azorius Quest (u/w) and his first two abilities go really well with it. I've gotten the last to go off a few times which combined with Argentum armor screws your opponent over really bad. Like I said though his first two abilities are awesome in the deck.

Picked up a playset today. Venser is probably the best walker in SoM but is extremely underrated right now. I keep hearing how he hasn't found his deck yet. That is what they said about Jace, the Mind Sculptor when he first came out as well. Jace was priced around 30-40 dollars when he was first released and has since more than doubled his value. As the SoM block pans out, I look for Venser to become one of the premiere walkers. Pick up a playset while the getting is good.

Best pre-release ever 'cause I pulled both him and a Koth at it. He's too good in the deck I just made which consists of my playset of the original dual lands, a bunch of kickass planeswalkers, kickass 6/6's including titans to exile with venser, and to top it all off, wild pair, doubling season, and maelstrom nexus. The most fun and at the same time brutal deck I've ever made, and he's the reason for the season :D

Venser has just become one of my favorite planeswalkers. I have always loved being able to bounce my creatures on and off the battlefield. I plan on bouncing my "When this "Insert permanent name here"enters the battlefield X happens" cards to get repeatable effects to hit the battlefield over and over. When I get tired of that I could just make all of my creatures unblockable and finish my opponent or I can save up for the 3rd ability and then exile all of my opponent's permanents one by one. Venser gives you a lot of control over the battlefield and is a lot of fun to play. Expect to see a lot of him for at least the next year!

probably the best walker.
exile a permanent like acidic slime and return it to the battlefield and destroy target artifact, enchantment or land each turn.
nice card

The bounce effect really is whats most fun about this card. If you dont have any basic lands in your deck then bouncing sundering titan with venser is very effective. In the right deck youll have the choice to bounce for card draw, life gain, dmg prevention, fetch abilities or just keep you opponents biggie locked away. The unblockable is great as well and works wonders with steel hellkite from the same set. Last ability is surplus, as usual, but might be fun in casual or if you luck out with a contagion engine or two.
Two colours and the mass of cards that needs to be present in the deck to make him work well is what brings him down to 4.

An interesting combo based plansewalker. Still suffers from the problem all plansewalkers have of always just getting killed off the turn they hit the table.

I pulled him out at a pre-release tournament, and didn't think anything of it at first. Looking at his abilities, even a beginner would know how precious a card he is. However, I only got to use his final ability once, because when people see Venser out, they suddenly redirect quite a bit of damage.
Seeing as he is a two color walker, I only gave him a four. There's always that game when you never see the other color.
Overall, he is very good, and makes controlling the field very easy. If one can mingle him in with a three color deck, like red, or green, then the unblockable will make quick work of the other player. In many cases, you won't get to, or you won't need to use the third ability.
