The goo is an interesting creature to say the least. It's got an expensive but repeatable ability to permanently pump itself up at the expense of one of your opponent's monsters. If you got the mana to pump it up, you'll have a 10/10 or more card in a matter of turns. It's best used in a mono-black deck with cards that generate lots of mana such as Cabal Coffers, or Magus of the Coffers. The only problem is that it doesn't have trample, but you can easily give it fear if you have enchantments of the like. It's not bad.
