Scornful Egotist

i run it in a red and blue deck made with old and new school cards i use Lattice and Bosh :)

Just a fun card to play. It's the "bling card" of Magic :)

this card is best used by someone using something like rush of knowledge.

i really dont really have any reason for this in my dack, but there are decks BUILT around it, and just because of that i wont hate on it too much
BTW, i bought 2 bosster packs and each had one, but they were uncommon 0.o

lol sorry i'm a noob... first of all the 8 cost is for torrent of fire, goblin machinist etc. theres a reson for its high cost i'm so dumb >.< btw i also thought it was trash :D

This card isn't very good by its self (in fact it's cr*p) but every card has its uses (except perhaps Scavenging scarab which would be more suited as a tasty snack). The egotists use is to morph it for its morph cost and sac it to a homarid spawning bed or use a torrent of fire. If you guys would bother to read some stuff, the later areas of the onslaught block are about the mana cost.

The "Egotist" is what I term a "gateway" card. Bring it in as a 2/2 then Morph, check out "homarid Spawning Bed" from FE or "Energy Tap" from LGN. Hey, just how big can U make a "Snake Basket"?-bear-

The morph cost, for one. The second reason...killing someone with this is hugely degrading. My friend used that on his brother once...ouch.

While there may be a use or two for this card, I still see it as one of those cards that has no place in a serious deck. The more cards you put in a deck that are essentially useless alone, like this one is, the more you will find yourself losing game after game because you can't get your combos working before your opponent has enough of a jump on you that you can't recover. Don't waste your time with this card!

this card makes me "lol." it won't be countered by counterbalance, that's for sure. but beyond that...no. just no.

WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS CARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its cost 8 for a darn 1/1 creature!!!!!!!!!! i would shoot myself before using this......
