A very solid creature, not only is it a 2/2 for two mana(no surprise their) but it's real potential is after combat, i mean on turn three you have this guy ready to attack and depending on the type of deck you run this guy could have +1/+1 from exalted so he attacks. now under normal circumstances this guy would be done, but with his vigilance ability he can attack and add mana to your pool in the same turn. He can also block if you dont need the mana.

An all around solid guy. G/W seem to get all the goodies when it comes to multi-colored 2-drops. Watchwolf, Gaddock Teeg, Saffi... the Steward is no exception.
Being able to attack and tap for mana is a nice ability. Awesome art by Greg Staples is just icing on the cake.
