Volrath's Shapeshifter

i used these in my dragon deck along with zirilan of the claw. it had exhumes and animate dead in it so the ability to drop a high mana cost dragon into the graveyard for volrath or to exhume was nice. I also had 4 burnt offerings for insane mana from the dragons zirilan summoned and that put them onto the top of the graveyard for volrath if I didn't have my safe haven yet. was a fun deck

This card works great with flowstone hellion + phyrexian dreadnought, or just with phag ne touche pas.

This has to be one of my favourite blue cards. It is deceptively aggressive for being a blue creature, and is a great addition to a reanimator/survival deck. I have two so far, and I'm looking to get two more for my type 1 reanimator deck.
The shapeshifter is probably the best blue creature in my books, and is one of the best creatures in magic. Morphling is good too, but I don't particularly like playing with or against decks that pack them.

great with Phage, not to mention with a psychatog to always keep phage on top of your graveyard plus you don't have to pay 2 to discard Phage

Try using Phage the Untouchable!! Owch!!
Infiltrate is nice to use too.

Discard Phage the Untouchable before damage goes to the stack and see what happens. If your opponent declares blockers, use Infiltrate. Awsome combo and awsome card.
