This is simply an awesome card. Before you judge it by its mana cost, think of the single most important word on the card: PERMANENTLY. That's right, you can make these abilities permanent. Plus, if you've paid 6 already to put it into play, next turn you can give it all three abilities at once, if you have enough cards in hand.

Yes, he's crazy, crazy good, but he does cost 6 mana, and what are the chances that on turn 5 or 6 you'll have a bunch of cards to discard to pimp him out? The reason he gets 3 and not 2 stars is because, first of all, his 4 toughness makes him difficult to kill with a single spell (Char/Psionic Blast is the only way to go that's popular), and second of all, he gives you something to do with those useless lands you draw on turn 6 and 7. Put him in a deck with mana accel and lots, lots, lots of card-drawing , and he could do okay...I still don't think he's amazing.
