this is a great card for blue-white control decks (my favorite kind of control...wrath of god and white akroma + ancestral recall/vision [always mix them up] and cryptic command = a win). 7 mana is sort of a lot for a 3/5 w/ vigilance that's even legendary. but suspend him on turn 2, throw in some clockspinning if you really want him sooner, and just stall, stall, stall (sacred mesa and wrath of god are convenient...probably not at the same time but yeah~). plus, even if you miss a few land drops (which you shouldn't in a control deck w/ aeon chronicler and ancestral...stuff) he still comes down on turn 6, with haste! not bad in a rush; if ur opponent doesn't block him thats 3 to the dome and he's untapped, ready for blocking and using his effect...if he does, well tap yourself if you would die, otherwise...he was still helpful. you get my point. legendary is a pain, but if he wasn't legendary that would be crazy (mirror gallery in extended solves that, but...mrmph. whatever)

Very useful creature for defense and offense. If he is attacking and going to die, simply tap himself to prevent all the damage he would give and take. On defense, he pretty much ensures the most dangerous attacker can't touch you. The high casting cost is nicely balanced out by the reasonable suspend ability. Very good for larger multiplayer games.
