Saffi Eriksdotter

Alright, in game play this might not be a Black Lotus, but in terms of flavor, this card has some history. For those who don't know, way back in "Ice Age" there was a card called "Lhurgoyf," which caused no end of amusement because of it's flavor text, which are Saffi Eriksdotter's last words. Until now, those words were the only place she existed. Seeing her show up as a card (any card) brings a nice sense of unity to the game that has been missing for a few sets.

Saffi Eriksdotter isn't just something you waste what? six mana on mirror gallery to get two out. this and Crypt Champion, an uncommon from Dissention, ran the Rav-TS type two "Project X" deck, which made second place in the 2006 GP, losing only to the nearly unstoppable "Izzetron"

This card has some combo-ability... One I just thought of which I haven't heard before is this plus Eternal Witness. All you need is some way to get the Witness to die and you get to use his ability twice. Imagine those two + Wrath of God: you clear the board, get back yr Witness and whatever else yr best creature is, and your opponent is pretty much pantsed. Are ya with me folks?
