Coming into play untapped and providing a colorless.. at least it lets you play a Magma Jet or a Volcanic Fallout. Barbarian Ring sacrifices for 2 damage (it also pings you for adding mana from it) which when playing red is often all you need. However.. against a control deck or anything else that slows you down.. a repeatable unconditional 1 damage a turn is nice to have. Not sure what all the hate is for. I'd definitely rather have one of these in a deck over Keldon Megaliths which come into play tapped.

legendary.....not. which is a shame as the art is pretty good and, well, a 'legendary' land should be just that....*sigh*

By far the worst land out of the saga blk I have only ever seen it run effectively in a multiplayer game with 7 people.
