Better than rampant growth late game as you can dig for spells with it late game while rampant growth just gets an incosequential land! also lets you play your dual or triple lands that come into play tapped so you can fix your mana base better than getting a basic which only produces one colour. And yes it can be tough keeping a 2 land hand with explore but Jund plays 26-27 lands so I would keep that hand. I have put 2 explore instead of 2rampant growth in my Jund deck.
