Yes, the first reviewer is correct.
If a player's life total is doubled, that player actually gains or loses the necessary amount of life. For example, if the life total of the enchanted creature's controller is 14 when Celestial Mantle's triggered ability resolves, the ability causes that player to gain 14 life. Other cards that interact with life gain or life loss will interact with this effect accordingly. <>
I use this card in my Aura Swap Deck along with Eldrazi Conscription as my 2 best Auras in the deck. Can get them out Turn 2-3 with Academy Researchers or Arcanum Wings, backed-up with Daze/Foil/FoW or simply enchanting a "Troll Shrouded" creature. Of course I also run the False Demise/Iridescent Drake combo just for laughs and mill someone to death with Altar of Dementia.

This would not work with ageless entity like the previous review states because your doubling your life, not gaining life. I'm not saying it's not an awesome card though, but with the price of one blue, using unsummon, someone can return the creature to your hand and you lose your expensive enchantment. I have thrown this on aether figment and had my own life total over 2000 before the opponent died. 5 star ability, but the mana cost knocks it down to 4 stars.
