Obviously a capable card in EDH because your starting life is 40. I''d advise peope to run Test of Endurance over Felidar Sovereign because it makes for a more fair/less auto-win-ish game.

Felidar Sovereign is a horrifically underrated and underplayed card. Of course, no one runs it because of the monstrosity that is Baneslayer Angel, but this is honestly a really good creature. I see its place as in either mono-White life-gain (win via the Sovereign or by good, old-fashioned beat-down), or in White/Black life-manipulation (with things like Sanguine Bond and Tainted Sigil).
