1 mana for a 5/5 zombie giant seems like a nice deal. Sure, you have to make some creatures hit the graveyard, but isn't that what black's best at? Simply chump blocking with small creatures will get you closer to your goal of summoning your big 5/5 beater!
This is one of the better quests in my opinion, because it's easy to fulfill the requirement. You're going to kill those creatures anyway, so why not get something extra out of it?
