You know, i think this beats mana leak. Run 4 of these, 4 mana leak, and four cryptic, and you are ready for anything. How often, in the current extended, or standard formants, would an opponent have 2 mana left after they get their big creature for the turn? Its super cheap counter spell, and thats where it shines. Now you can do your thing on your turn and leave just one mana untapped instead of two or three or four. GREAT card.
