This is the card that won the 2012 national championship. The card itself worked wonderfully in this format. It caught people off guard with how the deck worked. This card could spread rainbow and prism energy like it was nobodies business. I am interested in seeing how well it will function next format with Blend Energies if it will be able to perform similarly.

Nintendo said that they wanted the fifth generation to feel like the first, and they weren't kidding. This is one of two Pokémon which is an obvious throwback to a Base set card, way back in the 90s. This is basically Base set Venusaur, but for Steel types. If you liked Energy Trans decks way back, you shouldn't pass this up.

This card is going to be so hard to use with Emboar and Reshiram decks flooding the play area. Good luck if you use it, cool card though, just like Base Set Venusaur.
