This product met and exceeded by expectations. I had read comments which scared me off of this product, however I am glad I took the chance. The perfect product for somebody just getting into magic.

Got a great assortment of cards from across many sets. All cards was NM or close to that except one card and it should have been thrown in the trash, it had heavy water damage to it. Besides that one card I have no complaints. Will definitely order from here again..

Very pleased! Got 2 boxes at Dragon*Con 2011 and found them to be a very nice assortment of cards from all sets and of all types. Great for someone who is a late bloomer to MTG and needs cards. Only 4 lands/foreign cards (i.e. "junk cards") per box and all cards were either in very good condition or in great condition. I plan on ordering a few more!

Sorted through all the cards, and was pretty pleased with the results. Expect a lot of cards from the newer sets, I'd say the most duplicates I got was about 10, but that couldn't have been more than 8 or so different cards, and I think most were New Phyrexia commons. Worth it for the price, unless you have a lot of common / uncommons already. I'd say I got about 1/5 uncommon, maybe a little less.

I bought this set to split with a friend and I sorted it by color and type. We had no lands. I split all multiples and odds after splitting we picked at random with all the none multiples. After sorting multiples we had at most I think 7 for each of us of one card. We only had a few that had more than 2 or 3 for each of us. Not sure which sets these came from dont really care we just wanted new/ different cards. I was very pleased when we did the multiple stacks we each came up with 253 each some were the same card with a different picture. Will buy again. Thanks Troll and Toad.

Cheap and easy way to get a bunch of cards. Did I get too many Homelands and Mirage commons? Probably. Do I regret this purchase? Not for a second. There were a lot more uncommons than I expected and the rares were decent.

i got a birds of paradise. (gold frame)!!
and a few nice uncommons. The random rares were nice too! i did get 3 duplicates of Hunted Troll and 3 copies of this other artifact (which I may never use).

Awesome variety.
about 10% were standard cards.
the rest were all from other sets. I must note that most of mine were from Odyssey and Onslaught.

But thats okay, because I have a feeling soldiers are making a comeback!

This worked out well - we got the cards as a Christmas present for 2 teens and there was a wide range of commons from the Scars of Mirrodin set. Very few cards were less than 8 reps, and not too many more than 8 reps per card, so there were enough to give the kids 4 copies each of most of the cards. All colors were represented in roughly equal proportions, about twice as many artifacts as any of the colored cards, and there were about 10 land. A few nice rares, two japanese cards. Since we got the kids theme decks from Betrayers of Kamigawa this worked out well - an older theme deck each, and about 400 new 2010 cards too! Thanks, will buy again (next time for us).

Ordered one of these and got a pleasant, nice mix of cards from Morningtide all the way back to 4th edition. The majority seemed to be Kamigawa, but that was fine for me as I'd missed out on it. As for the rares, they ranged from Rise of the Eldrazi back to Revised, but I did end up getting 4 of one card, and 3 of a couple others, so not a whole lot of variety there. But I'm pleased with the results.

Got a good assortment of stuff from quite a few sets, with all colors represented (though a bit heavy on the blue), only 2 foreign cards and about 200 basic lands. Definitely buying this again.

I got this to help start out my magic collection and overall was very pleased. I got a great assortment from around 20 different sets and the most of any one card I got was 13 and there were only a few land. The only down side was that I got a couple doubles of some of the rares and alot of the cards were from older sets. The box did seem two color heavy, but a really great deal for a really great assortment. I will be coming back for more.

I was pretty happy with this lot. I picked it up when it was at a $15.95 price point and I found the pack of rares alone made for a satisfactory deal as I obtained several cards that I had been thinking of picking up that would have set me back more than $15 by buying singles of. Though I had to laugh that a Fallen Angel was included as I had also ordered three of those for a deck I am working on. As to the box itself: There were many uncommons which was good and the cards represented many sets with sizable amounts of cards from both Zendikar and Odyssey, which suited me fine as I have few cards from those blocks. Unfortunately, many cards were repeated multiple times. It was not uncommon for me to pull 15-20 copies of the same card which meant that there wasn't as much variety as I would have liked. There was also a relatively poor representation of Black and Red cards, with the included cards being the most guilty of "replication." I think I only got around 5-10 unique red cards in this box. Still, it was worth the money and paying only $15 for a lot of cards that will let me upgrade my existing decks and build new ones is a pretty good deal. And heck, once I get done tossing the worthless cards into the trash, I'll even have a nice new cardboard box for storing the cards I want to keep!

Overall, while it does have some cons (it really is a roll of the dice as to whether you'll get a good selection of cards in the "randomized" box), at under $20 this is a pretty good deal, particularly if you're looking to bolster the number of blocks your collection contains.

Me and 2 friends just ordered two of these boxes. They both contained many duplicates but seeing as there were three of us these wasn't a bad thing. We were able to split up the duplicates between us so that we barely even got more then a play set of any one card. This being said the cards in each box were not very deserve in one box we had over 300 sliver cards and the other was over half scars of mirrodin. Which I had no major problem with but I was hoping for a little more diversity and older sets. If you plan on getting one of these split it with some one or you will have to many copies.

Still a great deal and I would do it again.

I bought 2 boxes of these. They arrived after about a week and Im very pleased to say...best 2,000 cards Ive ever bought.

Both boxes had a very wide variety of card sets (about 7 sets per box) with a mix of all colors, artifacts, enchantments, creatures, sorceries, and non-basic lands. The first box was the best having no more than 7 duplicates of any 1 card. The second box had a bit more than that with about 20 being the largest amount but that was only a small chunk of 100 cards or so that were like that. The rest of the box was pretty diverse and if thats as bad as it gets I would say thats pretty good.

Now for the rares that came with each box. It looked like a lot of thought went into which rares were thrown into the mix. Each lot of 15 consisted of 6-7 different card sets but with cards that worked together with each other. A few were sorta random but the rest could all have gone into the same deck and worked. Lots of tasty legendary creatures. Except that 1 pack had 14 rares and a common but looking through the box it came in I found another rare XD whoops.

Overall I would highly recommend this product to anyone interested in making some fun decks and will more than likely be buying more myself.

I got 2 box's of 1000 cards.

I have to say, I was VERRRRRY NOT happy with the first box. EACH AND EVERY one of the thousand cards was from the SAME SET. The rare pack was 25 cards from various sets, but the WHOLE 1000 cards was from the Zendikar set. I suppose it isn't THAT bad though, as MOST of my collection is from Stronghold and earlier, I wanted some newer cards, but I was hoping for a BIT more variation. Ok, after sorting the cards, it's a bit ABSURD. I got 52 artifacts, which was a grand total of 5 different cards. ZERO lands, 13 different black cards (about 180-190 total), 15 different blue cards (180-190 total), and I stopped counting there.

Now, after opening the first box, I almost didn't want to open the second. After I did, this was a FANTASSSSTIC buy. Had cards from brand new all the way back to legends, many revised and 4th ed as well, and many many sets. After I sorted out all the cards from this box, I found that I got near equal numbers of Black, Gold, Green, Red & White. I got about twice as many lands, and about quadruple the number of artifacts. As far as Blue goes, it was an outcast, and INCLUDING the rares, I got 21 blue cards, and 11 different blue cards if you take out the dupes. hahaha. Oh well. This box COMPLETELY redeemed this set. I will probably pick up a few more of these in the future if I need to build my library.

I will CERTAINLY consider buying more of these in the future. I recommend at LEAST 2 if you get them.

So when i purchased this product i figured on some duplication and i was totally okay with that. Having said that i would say that about a quarter of all the cards i got were duplication's. I got 36 of one card, honestly what am i supposed to do with them...(I've been throwing them at my cat). Over all however, not a terrible lot. Lots of good trade fodder. I would suggest this for someone just getting started into magic so they can get lots of commons and uncommon for a cheep price. If your looking for a few good cards you might want to try another lot or just buy singles though.

All in all a pretty good buy if you're looking to start a collection, and if you're lucky build or improve some decks. Not exactly what I wanted, but what I should have expected and worth it for the money.

Almost half of the cards were foreign. What I did get I liked, and even what I didn't think I could use was fine, the only issue was the huge stacks of Greek cards I knew I couldn't really use.

Bought 2 boxes of these for 2,000 cards total. Based on positive reviews of other members, I thought for sure I would get a good pick and a fun lot either way to sort though.

Nope.

Both boxes were 100% common cards and ALL cards were from the Scars of Mirrodin set. There are only 104 commons in that set, so with 2,000 cards, I average 20+ copies of each card. Sometimes more, because the good commons weren't in there. So much for random. So much for uncommon.

I think the words "common and uncommon" and "random" are thus misleading, because 2,000 cards of only common cards from only 1 expansion is anything but random or common/uncommon.

What am I going to do with 20+ copies of each card?

Condition of them was excellent. NM condition.

The 25 rares included were varied which was great, but not in the best condition. White edges, scratches, etc.

I would only buy again if they assured me they were more varied, didn't have so many duplicates, didn't include just one set, put uncommons in there, etc.

I had even put a note on the order to please vary the cards up...

I got two of these boxes and at first I had my reservations. EVERY common was out of Scars of Mirrodin. At first, I wasn't pleased because I thought I would get a random assortment from all kinds of editions. I am a more casual player so I tend to like to play cards from all blocks, so I was disappointed at first. Also, there was a massive amount of duplication. There were only 101 unique common cards (not counting mana, and there was less than 100 mana total), so you can imagine the massive amount of duplication since there were 2000 cards. The rares were good and varied across different sets, including Mirrodin, Scourge, Champions/Betrayers of Kamigawa, so they were generally more recent, though not fit for Standard. Now, after some thought, I decided that these cards were pretty decent for making LOTS of infect decks that are playable in Standard, so it has inspired me to start playing some tournaments, so I have to say that I'm pretty excited about all of the possibilities for decks, but I wish that if the commons were all playable in Standard then so too would be the rares so at least I could make some powerful decks, but oh well. It all really seems like a gamble. A suggestion to the company would perhaps be that they should give you an option to choose something playable in Standard or Extended or Legacy or something so they know whether or not to send you a random assortment spanning all kinds of blocks or more recent blocks, because clearly someone put enough thought into these lots to make them solely Scars of Mirrodin. I'll probably buy some more lots in the future, I just wish the contents of the lots weren't so uncertain.

i ordered this and got like over 100 lands 500 green cards and a lot of artifacts. i was kinda annoyed by the duplication and i thought that there would be variation in the type of cards. the two things that where good was that a now have a poison deck and 25 rares. what really disappointed me is that i got 1 red card, 20 blue, 0 white, 100 black , 500 green, and the rest colorless.

I got a decent variety and no land (my friend got a bunch of land in his)... but the thing that really gets me is that it says "in rare instances cards may be foreign" and I got 185 FOREIGN CARDS (russian, japanese, koren, etc.). Nearly 20% of the cards I got are junk.

I ordered two boxes at the urging of other reviews. However, both were entirely disappointing. Almost all cards were from Shadowmoor, and those that weren't had 50+ duplicates in each box. I would definitely not purchase this again. The only decent thing was that the 25 rares were pretty good with only 1 or 2 duplicates.

Roughly 65-75% was Mirrodin Besieged commons. Very very little uncommons, and cheap 25 rares. I had 9 card that are not MTG cards. 6 are from a game I never heard of, and 3 were "rules tips" cards. I don't know who made the box I a got, but how in the world do cards from another game end up in a MTG box? I also had 3 basic lands and 3 foreign cards that I can't tell what language is on them. Troll and toad really need to rethink how they make these boxes. Should be no foreign cards, no card from other games, and no stupid "rule tips" cards. Also should really be labelled as 1000 commons, a couple of uncommons, and 25 cheap rares. Ebay sellers are able to sell 1000 count boxes and even make it to where you only get 4 of a card. You guys give 25+ of a single card. There has to be a more logical way of making these boxes better.

i have bought like 20 boxes from this 1. But THE LAST 4 I GOT HAD CARDS ALL FROM 1 OF THE NEW SETS.I was very mad about that. If i had wanted that i would of order a booster box.At least I would of got rares and un-commons also. Plus i don't care much for the last 2 sets that have come out to much infect

I actualy purchased this item twice taking a chance after reading the mixed reviews. Here was my experience. The first set had 50+ copies of several cards but I did like getting some of the older cards so I took a chance hoping that maybe I just got a bad set the first time. My second order I left a comment asking if I could not receive so many of the same cards which was never acknowledged or responded to. Instead this time I received 223 foreign cards that I have no use for. So much for this being a rare occurence as described in the desription. I definetly wouldn't recommend this to anyone. It seemed like a good deal at first glance but you can find similar sets on ebay or amazon with much more variety. Oh well, live and learn I guess.

I went back and forth for a week, trying to decide if I should get these. The reviews seemed to go both ways. I caved and bought three boxes hoping for the best. It was definitely NOT worth it. I got a ton of cards for cheap, but received MASS DUPLICATIONS. There are anywhere from 20-50 copies on most of the cards. Out of the 3000 total, I got around 600 different cards. Just for example, I now have 54 copies of Mana Cylix, 62 copies of Crimson Wisps, 49 Matica Rioters, 36 Scattershot Archers, 38 Rustrazor Butcher... the list goes on and on, literally. I am going to take half of these and leave them somewhere with a free sign, because they are a waste of space. The rares that came with it were all well played cards, so don't expect much.
I've actually went back and told people I'd already spoken to about this "deal" NOT to get them. So there's your review. I'm really not the type of person to write one either, so consider this was so bad it motivated me to warn you all. However, I shop frequently at Troll and Toad, and this is the first time I have been truly disappointed in the product I received.

I received my box and was not pleased. While I did get a variety of cards, after sorting through the cards:
165 were Foreign cards, I could not read what the card said, and I did not know what the card does. I'm rather new to the game so these cards were not recognizable.
I got 133 black, 323 were white, 106 were green, 113 Blue, 107 Red, 6 split color and 113 Artifacts.
8 of these cards were novelty, with the gold frame, meaning I could never use these cards in a real match.
17% of the cards are unusable, which is not what I paid for

165 foreign cards is not a "rare instance [where] cards can be foreign"

I'm very unhappy with this purchase and if I could return the cards, I would. Over 600 of the cards were commons from scars of mirrodin. The only significant number of cards from other set were in black, which was fine, but these comprised 175 cards at best. Calling the product random is a stretch, as I now have roughly 8-10 of every common from scars of mirrodin. All most as bad, less than 30 of the cards were uncommon.

I had been looking forward to this purchase, but am now unlikely to purchase any product like this again.
