By far this is the best monarch card out there. not only does Raiza is able to target a spell/trap or monster card but he creates a lock down situation. with his effect he sends one card to the top of the owners deck, next turn your opponent draws the same card instead of picking up a new one. This card is so powerful that it will be the only restricted monarch in the new ban list coming in march. yup you heard me, soon you can only have one per deck!

raiza's one of those monarchs that falls under most people's category of favorite monarch. I personally like Mobius because he's anywhere from a -1 to a -3 for your opponent, and card advantage MATTERS in yugioh. Raiza will definately stick around for awhile like Jinzo and DMOC, just an all around great card.

Raiza the Storm Monarch resets the definition of 'quality' players expect from their monsters. The card advantage and critical turn delay this card affords can bring your opponent's strategy to a halt. Raiza is the most flexible monarch in the game at this point in time, and will still see play after Gaius completes the monarch cycle. The only downisde I can think of with this card is targetting an opponent's Bottomless Trap Hole with the effect, but in a 2-Jinzo, 2 Royal Decree metagame, that situation seems unlikely.

Wow I gotta say congrats to this guy for FINALLY escaping the limited list. I bought it here in January, ultimate rare unlimited edition. By the way, the comment of making it off the limited list is true, it's now semi-limited.
